The Italian online gaming business saw record sales for the third straight month

The Italian online gaming sector broke its total revenue record in January, making it the third consecutive month that it has done so. Online casino and slot operators collected €162.85m ($193m) in income, according to figures provided by Agenzia delle dogane e dei Monopoli and processed by Ficom Leisure. This is an increase of 6% compared to the previous month and a whopping 99% compared to the same period in 2019.

The total GGR for the market was €335.9 million, which is an increase of about 57% year over year (YOY), although it was a slight step down from an all-time high of €359 million that was established in December.
